Metastigmatic mites or ticks are all hematophagous. Ixodoidea ranging in length from 1.7 to 6.1,when are in the unfed state; Argasoidea from 3.6 to 12.7 mm. Engorged individuals of both taxa may attain 20-30 mm. |
